A 59-year-old water truck driver was filling his truck with water at Teck Coal Ltd.’s Coal Mountain mine when he was hit by frozen rock, which fell from another vehicle. He was taken to a hospital in Alberta, but couldn’t be resuscitated. No other workers were injured. The coroner’s office, RCMP and provincial inspector of mines are investigating the fatality.
