June 3: New Guidebook for First Responders to Transportation Incidents

The 2016 Emergency Response Guidebook was developed jointly by Transport Canada, the US Department of Transportation and the Secretariat of Transport and Communications of Mexico for use by firefighters, police and other emergency services personnel who may be the first to arrive at the scene of a transportation incident involving dangerous goods. The Guidebook is intended to help first responders quickly identify the specific or generic hazards of the material(s) involved in the incident, and protect themselves and the public during the initial response phase.
