Nova Scotians can now comment on the province’s approach to managing GHG emissions from liquefied natural gas facilities. The province is developing regulations for such facilities in advance of plants being built. Setting GHG performance standards for these facilities before construction starts will enable environment protection opportunities to be included in facility engineering and design. The deadline for comments is July 29, 2016. The proposed GHG standard, frequently asked questions and the technical report are available online.
