According to a study from Queen’s University’s School of Business, workplace bullying can be more damaging than racial or gender harassment. General harassment is a subtle form of mistreatment that masks its underlying motives, says the study’s authors. And unlike gender and racial harassment, it’s not explicitly illegal in most of North America. The study looked at more than 735 workers from a range of companies and jobs.
