The government announced the start of the WHSCC statutory review, which is required to be done every five years under the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Act. The Minister has appointed a committee representing key stakeholders to oversee the review process. During the first phase, the Statutory Review Committee will undertake a comprehensive examination of the act to identify areas for improvement and modernization. In the second phase, it’ll hold consultations to consider the regulations and the broader administration of the act along with key identified issues and themes.
