The Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) is criticizing the WSCC’s proposed changes to the OHS Regulations as impractical. A CFIB spokesperson said the proposal focuses too much on rewriting the rules instead of helping small and medium-sized businesses learn how to make the workplace safer. The CFIB has sent a letter to the Minister in charge of the WSCC, asking him to consider a more practical approach to occupational safety. The WSCC is accepting comments on the proposed changes until March 31.
