It’s Time To Re-Activate Your Covid-19 Exposure Prevention Plan

During the initial COVID-19 closedown of spring 2020, implementing a workplace COVID-19 exposure prevention program was the price of reopening. When the virus went into apparent retreat, regulators called off the dogs and called on businesses to implement general infection control measures. But with the current Omicron surge, employers must re-activate their COVID-19 plans. This is an express order in BC and many municipalities and of eminent common sense everywhere else. While there’s some overlap between general infection control and COVID-19 exposure plans, the latter involves additional measures, including:

• Social distancing policies;
• Mandatory facemasks rules;
• COVID-19 symptom screening; and
• Extra sanitation and hygiene measures.
