Injuries from Saw Kickback Result in $80,000 Penalty for Employer

A worker was cutting a piece of pipe when the saw kicked back and struck him in the face. He received serious injuries to his jaw and right eye. His employer pleaded guilty to failing to ensure that equipment was used, handled or operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications.
