Government Fined $100,000 for Exposing Workers to Asbestos

Government workers were exposed to asbestos at the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre in Yellowknife. As a result, the territorial government pleaded guilty to violating Sec. 4(1)(b) of the Safety Act by failing to take all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of persons on a worksite.
