Forklifts are common equipment in many workplaces. This equipment typically has safety features, such as rollover protective structures, designed to protect operators. But workers can undermine such features and engage in other behaviours that put themselves at risk.
HOW TO USE THE TOOL
Adapt this handout for your OHS program, operations, equipment, and the forklift requirements in the OHS laws in your jurisdiction. Give it to workers as part of a safety talk to educate them on ways they can endanger themselves while using forklifts and how to avoid doing so.
