Feb. 23: Fatality in Gold Mine Under Investigation

A worker at a gold mine located west of Val d’Or was found dead, lying next to his parked equipment after a night shift. The mining company said there were no signs of an accident or an equipment failure. But government authorities are investigating the fatality.
