Fall Protection Policy

OHS laws of many jurisdictions require employers to implement a written Fall Protection Plan for the workplace where workers are at risk of falling 3 or more meters or exposed to other vertical fall hazards.

This Model POLICY should NOT be confused with a Fall Protection PLAN or PROGRAM. That’s because a PLAN or PROGRAM must list the actual fall protection measures used at a particular workplace. And since every workplace is different, it’s impossible to create a single PLAN or PROGRAM that will work for everyone. However, you can use this POLICY to develop a PROGRAM for your work site. Or, if your province doesn’t require a PROGRAM, this POLICY may be all you need.

One more caveat: This POLICY is based on Sask. OHS regulations and you’ll need to adapt it to fit the requirements of your own jurisdiction.
