Failing to Report Incident Results in $1,500 Fine

A worker suffered several broken bones after the zoom boom he was standing on approximately 25-30 feet in the air was tipped by a falling tree. His employer pleaded guilty to failing to give notice as soon as is reasonably possible of every accident at a place of employment that will require a worker to be admitted to a hospital as an in-patient for a period of 72 hours or more. The court fined it $1,500 [Thunder Ridge Farms Ltd., Govt. News Release, Oct. 12, 2016].
