Employer Fined $42,050 after Worker’s Fingers Are Caught in Press

When a worker reached with both hands into a press to pull out a boot plate, the press pinched his fingers in the U-shaped part of the boot plate. He suffered three broken fingers on his left hand with partial amputation of the index finger and substantial loss of skin to the middle finger and one broken finger on his right hand.
