Employer Fined $16,800 for Failing to Report Worker’s Fall

A worker texturing the ceiling of a two-story house fell from the second floor to the first floor, sustaining serious injuries. The employer pleaded guilty to failing to report, as soon as reasonably possible, an accident at a place of employment and to ensure workers used a fall protection system at a work area where they may fall three metres or more.
