Employer Charged with Safety Offences in Steelworker’s Fall

During the construction site of a long-term care facility, a steelworker fell approximately 15 feet from a steel joist, suffering head and wrist injuries. His employer was charged with two safety violations: failing to ensure that it provided and maintained a safe workplace and that a fall arrest system provided to a worker was adequately secured to an anchorage point or a lifeline [C.
