Contractor Fined $2,800 after Subcontractor’s Worker Is Injured in Fall

At a residential worksite, a worker employed by a subcontractor was injured when he fell off a roof onto an air compressor. The contractor for the site pleaded guilty to violating the OHS Act by failing to ensure that a worksite that wasn’t under the direct or complete control of the employer was safe for workers.
