Company Penalized More than $100,000 after Worker Is Injured by Exploding Tire

A worker was in the process of inflating a new 16-inch tire on a 16.5 inch rim when the tire exploded. The tire/rim struck the worker in the head, causing a serious injury. A company pleaded guilty to an OHS violation for the incident.
