Company Fined $18,800 for Guarding & Supervision Violations

A worker was using a wire stripper machine to remove the insulation off of scrap wire. While feeding wire into the stripper, his left hand came into contact with the machine’s feeding rolls. He sustained serious lacerations to two fingers. The company pleaded guilty to failing to have safeguards on the wire stripper machine and to provide adequate supervision of its workers.
