Class Action Approved in Lac Mgantic Derailment
Three Lac Mgantic residents filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of all the victims of the July 6, 2013 train derailment, which killed 47 people. A court has approved the lawsuit against World Fuel Services and Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd. The class action alleges that Canadian Pacific Railway was negligent and showed a lack of due diligence in all circumstances leading up to the derailment [May 22, 2015].
