Yukon Workers’ Compensation Health and Safety Board is governed by two pieces of legislation, the Workers’ Compensation Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
The Occupation Health and Safety Act applies to and in respect of employment on or in connection with the operation of any work, undertaking, or business other than a work, undertaking, or business that is under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Government of Canada.
This Act does not apply to work performed by the owner or occupant in or about a private residence or the lands and appurtenances used in connection therewith.
