Accommodating Disabled Workers Form

BENEFITS

Employers are required make reasonable efforts to accommodate disabled workers. For example, you must find out the restrictions the disability imposes on what the  worker can do and determine how you may be able to modify his work to accommodate those limitations. But if accommodating the worker would impose an undue hardship on the company, you wouldn’t be required to implement those accommodations.  The accommodation process is complex and it’s easy to make mistakes that can be costly.

HOW TO USE THE TOOL

Use this form to help you gather information you’ll need to either properly accommodate a disabled worker or show that such accommodations would be an undue hardship.
