PPE July 1: That’s when the YWCHSB’s zero tolerance policy for PPE violations starts. Until July 1, safety officers will issue orders to correct basic PPE infractions. These orders will also make attendance at an online PPE course mandatory. After July 1, officers will issue $50 fines to workers who don’t wear appropriate PPE and $250 fines to supervisors for not ensuring that workers use PPE.
