March 17: The IRSST released a guide on the prevention of mechanical hazards that describes methods for eliminating hazards at the source and ways to protect against them by using fixed guards. The principles presented in the guide are appropriate for most machines. But before applying these generic solutions, consult Québec regulations and standards relating to these machines.
