Safety Incidents
Oct. 7: Companies may soon be able to offer sincere apologies in the wake of safety incidents without fear that their apologies will be used against them as evidence of guilt. The government introduced the Apology Act, which will let individuals and organizations apologize after incidents without the apology being used as evidence of liability in a civil lawsuit. The proposed law is similar to laws already in effect in BC, MB and SK.
