Workers’ Compensation (WorkSafeNB 2008 Annual Report)

April 1: WorkSafeNB released its 2008 Annual Report. (See, www.worksafenb.ca.) Highlights:
  • Assessment rates decreased for the fourth straight year, from $2.10 to $2.05
  • WorkSafeNB met or exceeded its targets for safety, and client and staff satisfaction
  • However, it reported a $185.2 million deficit due to the economy.
