May 29: The government announced the release of the draft screening assessments and risk management scope documents for 18 substances assessed in Batch 6 of the Chemicals Management Plan. In this group, one substance (benzyl chloride) may pose a risk to human health and another (DHNUP) may pose a risk to the environment. The remaining 16 substances pose no health and safety risks.
