Worker Suffers Injuries from Electrical Explosion
A worker was removing a 60-amp circuit breaker from an electrical panel so it could be upgraded to a 100-amp circuit breaker. The power to the panel wasn’t turned off and locked out. As the worker proceeded, there was an explosion. He suffered injuries to his face and head. An MOL investigation determined that the company didn’t have written procedures for working with electrical installations.
