The Saskatchewan Safety Council's 38th Annual Industrial Safety Seminar is one of the largest events of its' type in western Canada. Visit our web site at www.sasksafety.org for a complete program and on-line registration. Topics will include Environmental leadership, Ergonomics, Electrical Safety, Working at Heights, International Safety, Aircraft Crash Investigation, Disability Management, Training for Generational Differences, The Bisiness Case for Injury Prevention, Project Management, Effective Meetings, Hazard v Risk, Zero Injury Culture and many more. The show will feature 4 keynote presentations by experts from across Canada and the US. The kick-off session will feature a presentation by Jim Spigener, Vice-President of Behavioral Science Technology titled “Creating a Zero Injury Culture”. The Tuesday keynote will feature Patie Jensen, who will speak on getting the safety message to the different generations currently in the workforce. Wednesday will close with a moving presentation by Bernie and Sheila Inman. Bernie was severely injured in a workplace incident and speaks about his injuries. Sheila then talks about how the injury affected her and their children. Following their session, delegates will surely enjoy the closing presentation by Dan Baker. Dan’s background is driving, which is still the number one cause of workplace fatalities in many jurisdictions, including Saskatchewan. In addition to the 4 keynote presentations, there will be approximately 25 educational sessions on a variety of topics.
